2026 Conference Recap

The 2026 CUPRAP Annual Conference brought together nearly 275 higher education marketing and communications professionals from 15 states for three days of learning, connection, and fresh perspective in Lancaster. From March 11–13, attendees engaged in a thoughtfully designed program that balanced big-picture thinking with practical, real-world application.

The conference opened with a dynamic presidential panel moderated by Marjorie Hass, featuring institutional leaders Thom Chesney, Andrew Rich, and Kevin Weinman. Attendees also heard from keynote speakers like Mallory Willsea and Christina Garnett, who explored innovation, behavioral psychology, and the evolving landscape of higher ed marketing.

Throughout the week, concurrent sessions covered topics ranging from AI and content strategy to branding, enrollment marketing, and communications leadership. Presenters from institutions and agencies across the field shared case studies, insights, and actionable strategies, creating space for both inspiration and immediate takeaways.

Beyond the sessions, the conference emphasized community—through networking receptions, roundtable discussions, and time in the exhibit hall—culminating in the annual CUPPIE Awards celebration, where members were recognized for creative excellence in the field.

The 2026 conference concluded with a closing fireside chat featuring Brad Wolverton, leaving attendees with new ideas, stronger connections, and a renewed sense of purpose in their work. Planning is already underway for the next CUPRAP Annual Conference, with registration details for 2027 to be announced this fall.
