CUPRAP Marquee Awards Nomination Form

Use this form to nominate an outstanding colleague for one of CUPRAP's highest honors: the Arthur V. Ciervo Award, Don Hale Award, or Joseph W. Donovan Rising Star Award.


Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis through December 1, 2026. Award recipients will be recognized during the 2027 CUPRAP Conference, March 22–24, 2027.


Thank you for helping us celebrate the individuals whose leadership, service, and contributions continue to strengthen CUPRAP and the higher education marketing and communications profession!

Award Details
  • Arthur V. Ciervo Award: Nominate a public relations professional, college or university president, higher education advocate, public official, or distinguished faculty or staff member who exemplifies CUPRAP’s fundamental purposes of supporting and advancing the understanding of higher education.
  • Don Hale Award: Nominate a CUPRAP member whose sustained contributions have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the association.
  • Joseph W. Donovan Rising Star Award: Nominate an emerging professional who has already demonstrated exceptional promise and leadership early in their career. The nominee should be under 40 and have worked in higher education for fewer than 5 years.

  • Why the nominee exemplifies the purpose and criteria of the selected award
  • Examples of service to CUPRAP, the higher education community, or the profession, as appropriate
  • Any notable achievements, leadership roles, mentorship, innovation, or lasting influence that distinguish the nominee

There is no required length, but the strongest nominations provide enough detail and specific examples to help the Awards Committee fully understand the nominee's qualifications.
