Cassondra Lampkin, a senior at Susquehanna University, was winner of the 2006 CUPRAP Communications Internship Award for Students of Color. Shown here with her mother, Lucinda McDowell, she was presented the award by CUPRAP Vice President Tysen Kendig on March 9. Cassondra is majoring in journalism with a minor in women's studies, and carries a 3.45 grade point average. She balances her studies with part-time work for The Daily Item in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, where she copy edits and has earned bylines for her reporting coverage of various regional stories. In addition, Cassondra is the editor-in-chief and founder of Serenity, a University newsmagazine at Susquehanna, which features an eight-page layout focusing on women's issues. She aspires for a career as a newspaper reporter in a large media market. |

 Let the record show that in 2005, the post-banquet entertainment was poker. Beginners tables were available for the 50% of the crowd that needed extra help. High rollers won reaped their dividends in chocolate.
